I have had to spend time in the hospital as I had fallen and fractured some ribs and when they were doing tests they saw not only that I was in desperate need of transfusions which I received around the clock for my RBC and platelets were extremely low and I have been receiving my weekly injection of Procrit, but the CT revealed that the Fosamax that I take for the osteoporosis has in fact widened my esophagus which has been causing me chest pain and like a feeling of GERD, though I had not mentioned it to me DOC for I thought it would just go away. Now that I am mending from the fractures, I go in on the 19th of March for an endoscopy to see just what it looks like. I have to be able to take the Fosamax or a drug similar to it, though I was told when I started on it just 18 months ago that it did have its side effects.
I have always gotten scared when vomiting my entire life and the thought of them putting a tube down me scared me, but they do it all the time.
Chuck, Perhaps someone here could tell you what hellip is but I am not familiar with it. I am awre of graft vs. host disease whereas the body is trying to reject the transplant. I will keep your son in my prayers for a turn around in his health. I am actually feeling very good. Yeh for those great days. Also, as far as going to Florida, if anyone is at all interested. Southwest has airfare for $78.00 each way to Tampa, which is a very good deal. It would be great if we all could get together. Anyone up for it? Thanks again for everyones thoughts.
Have a great week. Patty

Just wanted to jump in Say HI!
