I have a Dear Friend that is GREAT NEED of HELP-PLEASE READViews: 97

PLEASE help me out by sending this to your friends and families! Thanks! From Connie Smith HI Everybody!

This is a REAL AUCTION that I am going to have on eBay for two MARY ENGLEBREIT framed pictures and a Mary Englebreit book. I will email everyone and I hope in turn you will email everyone on your email lists with the information and dates for this auction which will be starting in the next week! (and please send THIS email out to everyone you know so that this auction goal gets out there to as many people as possible!). I am also contacting local newspapers to have them include this auction as an article in their papers.
My dear nurse friend, C. Miller of Collinsville, Illinois is battling cancer for the third time . She has had two cancer surgeries over the past three years—a colon resection ,and then a year later she had to have a lobe of her lung removed due to the cancer had returned. Once again, the cancer is back and she is in chemotherapy for the third time!
One of her major concerns is that when she is too ill to be able to work that #1 -she may lose her home, and also #2 -not be able to continue her health insurance due to loss of her income. This is a sad reality that many individuals suffering from a serious disease often face—once they are unable to work and no money coming in, and no more sick days available—the bills do not get paid.
My GOAL is to be able to auction these items and raise enough money to meet at least one of her needs. I am hoping that those who read this will bid and bid often on these eBay items that I post. I am hoping that the KINDNESS and GIVING flood the eBay item site and we can open our hearts to a fellow human being, who as a nurse as helped thousands over the years!. THANK YOU a head of time for reading this and passing it on to EVERYONE you know—this is an email worth forwarding EVERYWHERE!
Like I said, this is a REAL auction for a friend that I LOVE dearly! Please, please open your hearts and give/bid! IF anyone has questions, please contact me Connie (Libby) Smith at duke98hd@charter.net.

Bless you all!

Connie Smith

Hi Patty, Yes, I am feeling better. This has been the most painful surgery I have ever experienced. I would never have thought it would have been worst that the mastectomies but as far as pain is concerned, it was. I had pain medication which stopped the pain but made me sleep all week. I am feeling better.
I understand exactly how you feel when you talk about your children. At times like that most mother’s first thought is always for their children. Although, my husband was a heart patient at the time and could not work, he was there for me with love, caring and moral support…which meant so much. I can NEVER UNDERSTAND how a man can walk away from his children but it happens more often than most people realize. I know it must have been a terribly awful time for you and I wonder how on earth did you make it. Like the “Footprints” poem said, it had to be the good Lord up above who picked you up and carrierd you through. He always promises us that he won’t give us more than he will give us the strength to bare. It sounds like he really performed a miracle in your case.
Yes, I am indeed very fortunate to have a loving daughter, son=in-law and grandson with whom to live. They are very good to me and I am very blessed. My twin daughters are now 31 years old. I am also blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law and some wonderful grandchildren. PRAYERS ARE SO VERY IMPORTANT. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND HAPPY EASTER. Love and hugs, Joyce

Dear Patti; I read the letter of Connie and emailed her regarding the EBAY auction. Hopefully she will let us all know when it is. I am assuming Connie is a friend of yours and that you wanted to help her out. Is she on this blog? It is such a lovely thing this blog where people can actually take part in others recovery or just state how they feel. Keep up the great communications. Regards. Weeze from Canada eh

Patty, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT OF APRIL 30. You told me you wrote an entire chapter and THAT IS FINE. I love hearing from you. You can write an entire chapter every day if you have time. Maybe I can do better about answering my comments after I get my cataract surgery done on June 9. Just remember, my friend, I will be praying for you. I don’t have to have good eyesight to pray….THANK GOD. Talk to you again as soon as I can.
Love and many hugs, Joyce
