I will be honest in saying that I got a bit misty eyed just reading your posts.I don’t know what lies ahead with the exception of saying that I will be meeting with the Chief of Transplant Services along with my Oncologist on Dec. 17 which it can’t come soon enough for me. I have given this to GOD for he has carried me through these past 15 years and I believe with my faith he can get me through this as well.
I need a good support system to help keep my spirits and my determination intact. Fortunately,Laura got me a laptop for my BD so I can type in bed with the heating pads on my bones. It got to where I just couldn’t sit up at the desktop for any extended period of time. In addition, I will be able to use it in the hospital which will help tremendously for I will be in isolation though I do not know for how long, all of this I will learn on the 17th. Everyone here is facing their own personal battle. No one ever needs to apologize about mispelling my name heck, I answer to just about anything.
I wish I had more details to relay but I’m sure I will have plenty to report after the 17th. I’d so enjoy hearing funny stories, good news, whatever you’d like to share.
I have been teased for years for my love of eating lemons, from co-workers, friends & family. But, one of my favorite expressions has been,” When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Love to all, Patty

weezie threw a punch at your cancer.
weezie sent you a prayer.

Patty:

I love lemonade! I’m glad you got a laptop to keep you occupied while in isolation. It will become your connection to the world while there. I hope that your meeting with the doctors on the 17th will be productive and prepare you for the process of transplant. TO be honest,,I don’t have a clue what is involved other than what I’ve read here from others.

Attitude is more than half of the battle and you have that in spades!

Keep us posted and prayers being sent to you.
Teresa

hi, patty. just wanted to say that i will be praying for you while you are going through your treatment. the laptop was a wonderful gift. i had one myself, but gave it to my daughter, and now i really miss it. may have to get another one for myself. keep up the positive attitude. and you can never go wrong as far as i am concerned with just turning things over to God. my motto as far as cancer has always been that “it is what it is”. i couln’t change it… only God can do that. keep hanging in there and let us know what you hear on the 17th. keep the faith. debby

Patty,
What a great attitude you have. With that wonderful attitude and God’s help you will make it through. I couldn’t have gotten through the last 15 years either without God’s help.
God Bless you and be with you, my friend.
Love, hugs, prayers and blessings going your way,
Joyce In NC

Dear Patty;

It’s feast or famine with you but glad you decided to give us a feast. I know you will be so darned glad to have that laptop, I’m envious. I should have bought one two years ago, but I was thinking, what do I want with a laptop on my lap. I want to sit at my desk, which is true, but you can’t take it anywhere? So any chance you can enlighten us on what you are having transplanted? Are you talking bone marrow? And if so how is it done, and do you need to be a match with someone? I really know nothing about that, if that’s what you are having done. Any information on you would be welcome. I’m so glad you returned, because I missed your posts.
Take care friend and looking foward to your next post.
