ibpatti32's Cancer Blog
December 11, 2009
You sure did hit the nail on the head in that the cancer can creep back for I was only recently in remission, now…. I’ll actually know where things truly stands on the 17th.
You have no idea how Blessed I truly feel that I was able to raise each one of my children and to see them leading such productive lives. There was a time when Joshua my oldest, did 2 tours in Iraq with the U.S. Marines and at the same time Jordan was on a Navy ship at a destination in which he could never reveal. So, to have them all here makes me feel whole again. And, Laura will graduate with her Master’s in April.
I only talk about this disease if it is something serious but the everyday injections and more I only keep to myself. I never want to be a burden to them.
Jacques, I love your Prayer of St. Francis of Assis, I need to read that each and every morning. After reading your past post I can’t even comprehend what all you have been though, your spirit is so refreshing. God Bless, Patty
Patty,
On the inside of my left arm the prayer of St. Francis is tattooed. On the inside of my right arm the Lord’s prayer. They are my constant companions.
I am so glad to hear the kids are all with you for the holidays.
Blessings and prayers

Hi Patty,
I’m so glad you found so inspiration are strength. I read that prayer every day and night. It’s the one printed on the back of my Mother’s prayer card. It gives me strength and resolve and put life back in perspective.
Please thank your children for their service to our nation. They are true heros! I think of the sacrifice they make, everyday to give us the blessings of Liberty. You should be so proud of them.
God has blessed you!
Jacques
Dear Patty,
I’m so glad to hear you are surrounded by your loving family! That’s good medicine!
In 2001, we had the prayer of St. Francis printed on cards that we used for Christmas cards. After all everyone in the country had been through that year, it felt like the right message. It always comforts me in times of crisis. Keep it close to you.
You are in my prayers.
Peace,
Kathy
