ibpatti32's Cancer Blog

December 26, 2009

After spending much time into researching every aspect of my last bone marrow biopsy and attempting to understand every aspect of it, I left it sitting on my kitchen table. Bright, huh? Even at that it lasted more than 3 hours, so I guess I really didn’t need the list after all. I’m very shaken as I attempt to gather my thoughts for this post upon the overwhelmingly sad news of Josie’s passing.
That being said, I will not bore anyone with my impending news upon the surprise attack of another bone marrow biopsy, though they just want to know every count to this date. It’s a game of hurry up & wait. I continue in getting these blood tinged bolus’ on my body. I was told to keep them medicated & bandaged to prevent any further infections.
So, once again, despite thinking I was going to learn everything I needed to know last week from the head of the BMT Team along with my Oncologist, I got a surprise BMB. Ouch! So, I will wait with great optimistism of good news.
Happy New Year to All!
Love to Everyone, Patty

weezie threw a punch at your cancer.
curlygirl, weezie sent you a prayer.

Patty:

Hate the wait too. I’m hoping that the biopsy results will be good and you are still on track.

Meanwhile, try to get Cancer out of your mind if you can.

Let us know what you hear…and hang in there.

Teresa

Thanks Teresa,
With all you have going you are still there for others and I appreciate you.
Though, I did mention this before but has ANYONE EVER HAD THESE TYPE OF BOLUSOCCUR ON THEIR BODY WITHIN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. EXAMPLE: I ALWAYS PUT CREAM ON MY FEET AT NIGHT AND PUT SPA SOCKS ON. I AWOKE @ 3AM AND THOUGHT I WOULD REAPPLY SINCE I WAS AWAKE AND JUST IN THE PAST FEW HOURS I HAD A HUGE BOLUS ON THE TOP OF MY FOOT. PLEASE EVEN IF YOU HAVE HEARD OF THIS SECOND HAND, LET ME KNOW FOR EVEN THE DOCS ARE CONFUSED, OR IF THEY ARE NOT THEY AREN’T SAYING ANYTHING. THANKS TO ALL

Good grief Patti, it looks terrible! Can you try to google this or talk to someone at the hospital. I’m sure you need to see someone right away. I can’t imagine how you even walk with it in the position it is in? You really do need help here. Get going…..Yes I am praying extra hard for your biopsy being negative cancer. I really am praying.

Yes I agree about Josie, and now Brad! One day apart! I just am in total shock, that’s all I can say about this last 10 days. Can you imagine loosing someone over Xmas, I just can’t.
